About Dr. Yousaf

Dr. Farida Yousaf is a Consultant Psychiatrist with over twenty years experience in General Adult Psychiatry.  She works in the NHS and the private sector in Surrey.


In the NHS she works in a Mental Health Recovery Team. In the private sector she also has expertise in the treatment of general adult psychiatry as well as alcohol and drug related disorders.


Furthermore Dr. Yousaf works with the non-governmental organisation Helen Bamber Foundation based in London where she assesses and prepares medico-legal reports for victim of torture seeking asylum in the UK.

Dr Yousaf has wide experience in education and management and has held posts in the NHS as a clinical tutor and a medical lead.

Her main areas of interest are anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, perinatal disorders, eating disorders, PTSD and personality disorders.

An initial consultation will last for 60 minutes and will cost £300

After that follow up appointments are £160

Email us to book an appointment. We will make an utmost effort to respond within 24 hours and send an appointment through in a week.

Dr Yousaf will accept self funding patients. Payments should be made on the day of the appointment in cash, cheques or online transfers.

Dr Yousaf would usually write to your GP with prescribing advice however can write a private prescription at your request for which there is no additional cost.
